Saturday 2:30–4:00 PM | Ages 6–10
In this hands-on engineering class, students will explore LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential, a beginner-friendly robotics and coding system designed for elementary learners. Children will build simple machines, experiment with motors and sensors, and learn foundational coding concepts using a visual, block-based programming interface.
Through guided challenges and creative problem-solving, students will:
Design and build interactive LEGO models
Learn basic coding, sequencing, and logic
Explore engineering concepts such as movement, sensors, and cause-and-effect
Strengthen teamwork, persistence, and critical thinking skills
No prior robotics or coding experience is required. This class is ideal for curious learners who enjoy building, creating, and learning through play.
Students may enroll in this class up to four times. Each session features a different engineering challenge, allowing returning students to progress while first-time students are supported at an introductory level. Classes may include a mix of first-time and returning students.
