Special Education Certification
PRE-REQUISITES
Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree or higher qualification.
Alternatively, a teaching certificate in any U.S. state.
Professional Experience:
A minimum of 250 documented hours in general teaching or tutoring.
At least 50 documented hours dedicated to instructing students with special needs.
COURSE MATERIAL
Interactive Training Module:
Engage with our 'Strategies for Teaching Students with Special Learning Needs' guide. This encompasses both written material and video content on the following:
Grasping the intricacies of special educational needs
Adopting best teaching practices and strategies.
Effective communication techniques with both parents and students.
This review guide also includes an interactive training model to practice for the evaluation.
Evaluation:
This evaluation is based on content from the interactive training module.
Candidates must achieve a score of 90% or higher.
Focused Training Session:
Undertake a one-hour intensive training session with our lead certification instructor.
If applicable, revisit and reinforce any topics or areas from the assessment where performance was suboptimal to ensure comprehensive understanding.
$350 certification fee
Work Perk: This certification is free to current Cascade Enrichment educators.
Educators may work at their own pace to complete this certification program.
