Andrei is a first-generation immigrant who was born in Santiago, Chile and spent most of his childhood in Tucson, AZ. Upon graduating high school, he moved to Massachusetts to pursue his undergraduate education and obtained a B.A. in Chemistry with Honors from Williams College in 2021. Currently a chemistry PhD student at the University of Washington (UW), his research focuses on using next-generation two-dimensional materials as catalysts for clean energy-related reactions. He has experience teaching chemistry both at Williams and at UW, and specializes in teaching chemistry and mathematics at Cascade Enrichment.
